In all honesty.

Today they announced that the Senior class has lost to the Junior class for BOTC. The score was miscalculated and it turns out that the junior class did in fact win by 2 points. It is bad that we found out like a week later, but in all honesty, better now then never. I mean, what really gets a win in games? or even life? The key is hard work. I'm not here to discredit anyone, but I think 08 did not work as hard as the other classes, and it did show. Drop all the drama, because when you really look at it, Hard work gets the win. This is another reason why I think everyone is this world should play a sport. It teaches people to learn how to deal with a loss, and how to work for a win.

*feel free to express comments on my comment box. just don't get heats like the first person did.
1. I never mentioned who I thought really should have won. so don't assume esp on some shady shit.
2. I'm not complaining about shit, if anything, you are the one complaining. I'm just putting my opinion on battle out there.
3. "And it seems like you aren't going anywhere in life." Don't worry, I forgive you.
4. Class of 09 are enemies? since when did we have enemies at school? we have no enemies at school, when you start thinking like that you start to put up boundaries of hostility.
5. Please try to remember we all have our own opinions.
6. If you honestly think that I should join 09 and you think I'm a tradior, I mean, traitor, then you probably aren't even a "close" friend of mine. My close friends respect my opinion on things whether it be about battle or anything else, so Idk what the hell you are talking about.

PLEASE TRY TO REMEMBER,
IT'S ONLY HIGH SCHOOL GET OVER IT.

if you want to remain anonymous like Bobby Valentino, or if you want to pull me aside and talk to me about it 1 on 1 like civilized people would then get at me. If not, it's cool.

this is the sign off.
to the anonymous person posting comments, I got a song for you.

Then why didn't you do battle. Why are you complaining about 08 not working hard when you don't give a shit. For those people who poured their hearts out was enough to show the passion that deserved 1st. The passion no other class had.

If you like 09 so bad. Fail high school so you can join them. Seems like you belong with them anyways. All talk.

And it seems like you aren't going anywhere in life. You don't even support your own kind instead an enemy. Guess you'll always support the people you'll be battling against. Wake up. You have no idea how upset this blog makes many of closest friends. How all those times you were in battle/homecoming you ending up being just a tradior.

If this is the attitude '08 has towards it, then, with all honestly, deal. '09 had to deal with defeat 2 years in a row. '08 undeservingly took away the one thing '09 has strived for for two years. After BOTC 2007, '09 was determined to take back that loss that felt rightfully theirs. So what did '09 do? Come together as one. Truly, this was their right. Damn straight it was a message to Beware the Class of 2009. The only reason '08 wanted this was the FACT you were seniors. Why did '09 want it? Because '09 came together in UNITY from different groups, backgrounds, last names, first names, whatever to conquer and win.

& even when '09 lost, you did not have ANYONE in the '09 doubt their own class. You know how upset the '09 class actually was? There were tears and hearts broken to the most unlikely people. People never in battle before and people that never showed emotions shows their hearts that night. When '09 supposedly lost by 8 points, you know what they did? They came together STILL. When scores were announce, what did they do? Hugged. Corny enough. At the beginning of battle, not everyone knew eachother's name, but by the end they were crying on eachother's shoulders like FAMILY.

Undoubtingly, the title means so much. But without the title of 1st, '09 still lived our battle days up. '09 did something no other class ever did. That's why they are now legendary. Not necessarily because they took 1st, but because they supported eachother from 2 heart breaking loses: battle 2007 and homecoming 2008.

Talk all you want. But think how '09 felt to know that '08 took their night away.

This is in no disrespect. Just making a point that there was more to it than just winning. It was getting there. It's a high school spirit event. '09 reached that purpose and took it to an even higher level.

Agreed. It's not a matter of being a "traitor".. it's a matter of being able to take a step back and look and the big picture and opinionating what's fair.

PLUS, if the writer of this blog had something to say about his own class, there should be a reason to criticize.. ESPECIALLY knowing the writer, he's not the type of person to speak without a brain.

Personally, I love the seniors, but not as a class. As a senior class I can respectfully say you guys did pull things together through the drama throughout Battle practices this year. But don't criticize what one of your seniors has to say about his class. No one would really hate on their "own kind" without a legit reason.

You can't assume he didn't "give a shit" when he just wrote a blog with his own thoughts and concerns about the results of Battle.

If someone didn't "give a shit", I doubt they'd even write a blog about it.

Btw, to the 1st comment.. it's Traitor* not "tradior".

This whole argument is completely ridiculous. As an officer of the senior class, Cutum, I am sorry for the ignorance that this commenter has shown on behalf of our class. Yes, this argument on who deserves first place is quite controversial and upsetting, but the truth is, points count as points. Tomorrow morning, the leadership class will look over the judging sheets along with ASB officers to finalize the ruling.

As of the first comment and to all others who are upset about today's unfortunate events, you do not have the right nor the backing of the senior class to blast away by calling Cutum or who ever else as a traitor, etc. One of the main criteria that the seniors received a score of "0" for was for Sportsmanship. You think about that.

Stop the ignorance and chill. Don't make the senior class look bad. We've had drama throughout this entire battle season and the only thing that counts is that we pulled through. No matter what the points say, we are Seniors. This is our school. We won this through our perseverance, dedication, and passion. Leave it be.

Thanks Cutum. Sorry I was in a bad mood the other day when you were trying to be sincere about how you felt.

I can understand the animosity we're getting from the Senior participants, and that's okay. If I were them, I'd be feeling the same way.

If anything, all the controversy will pass in a week or two - but the ruling still stands.

By the way - why don't I ever get these many blog comments?!

Just kidding.

Oh, and study for French.

Love Alyson

Haha.
Anyways, I need to stop being a truant and come to school.
Do you realize that I haven't seen you since your last blog? Which was like 4 days ago?
Ok, not that long I guess.
I just miss French.
